First post

Hello, I've been watching this community for a while and finally have a problem to post. I checked through the memories, but didn't quite find the answer to my problem. I am now on my first cycle using the DivaCup. I have had no problems with insertion or removal, and no major leaks as of yet. The only problem I'm having is that soon after I insert the cup, it leans pretty far to my right. So far, that the stem is poking into the wall of my vagina and irritating it quite a bit. I thought about trimming the stem, but it seems like that wouldn't solve my problem since the cup would still lean and what was left of the stem would still continue to grate against my vaginal wall. My question is, is there any way to correct the leaning of my cup? Am I inserting it wrong, too far up, not far enough? Or is this just the way that I'm built and something I'll have to put up with? I'm not sure how much longer I'll be able to as it's getting rather painful. I'm sad to say that because I am really liking all the other aspects of the cup and don't want to go back to tampons. Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

This is my story, this is my song...

I really appreciated this site and all the stories about other women and their use of the cups, so I thought I'd put in my two cents. I recently bought a Keeper and just finished my first period with it. I was a little wary of it, because I'm a virgin and had my doubts about something that big going up there...

However, now I'm a convert. If you want to read more, click Collapse )

If you are thinking of buying a keeper, I have a shameless plug Collapse )

(no subject)

i just talked to a lady at diva cup about my problem (from my last post)
and she was amazed "i've been in the menstrual cup business for 12 years and i have never heard such a thing!"
and she suggested that before i get up (er... stand up) from bed that i do some kegels because maybe my muscles have become so relaxed during the night that they are not holding it properly.
i'll let you all know how it works out.
wish me luck.

Got Cervix?

I have no cervix.

Ok, I'm sure I probably do, but I'll be damned if I can find it.

Remember me? I posted last month in a panic because my Diva has decided to hate me.

So, reading this community gave me the bright idea that maybe my cervix was below the cup, ya know, along the side?

So, I thought, since my period will be here in less than a week, I'll do a little search and rescue, so I know whereabouts to aim for.

Nope. Nothin.

SO, that being said, if I can't reach the cervix (or maybe I'm an idiot and don't know what I'm looking for), there's probably no way it was below the Diva.

I'm really not looking forward to Leaky McLeakerson this month again. :\
