New, and two questions.

Hi everyone. I'd been scouring the web for information on using a menstrual cup, and came across this little group, so I read through the memories and most of the posts, but have two questions.

Anyway, to get to the point. I have a keeper, size b. I'm 24, married, no kids. I've finally gotten able to insert the darn thing 90% of the way. Which, apparently, is not enough to get it to open up. (I use the punch-down fold ..where you punch in and down one side of the cup) Soooo, I'm still new to this, and was hoping to try it little by little, but I don't think that's going to work. (I'm so not a tampon person).

Is the cup suppose to open up when 90% of the way inserted, so then it can open and I can finish positioning it? Or is my insertion method screwing that all to hell?

And another thing..since I have yet to experience suction or any removal process what-so-ever: Is the problem people complain about the SIZE of the cup or the "suction" it creates? Because it seems to me that the SIZE, isn't much different (when opened) than a penis per se, and those go in and out of most women fine mind you, so why would this hurt to pull out? Suction right?

I don't know. Part of me is just chicken about letting go of this thing and letting it do it's job. Stupid I know. Someone give me a buttload of courage. I know it can't get lost up there, I'm just worried I won't be able to get my fingers in there WITH the cup and get it out. (I know .. I know..make sure I bear down like I have to poo)

Any advice for any of this? I want to use it, as I'm really sick of pads, blech (I use cloth pads even.)
