Boom de yada!

Irritation?

Does anyone else experience irritation of their urethra or urethral opening when wearing the cup? I've cut off most of the stem. I didn't notice any problems the first few periods but for the last two I seem to have to go pee frequently with little result, much like UTI. But, I don't have a UTI (I was tested) and when I remove the cup and switch to tampons, the symptoms go away.

I'm going to try removing the remainder of the stem, but I'm not hopeful.

The FreeFind search facility is now up. Thanks to snowowl for the suggestion. It's in the links toolbar at the top of the page. I think the indexing is only partial at the moment, but it's getting sorted. I haven't figured out how to get it to search fridnds-locked posts, and I'm not sure it's possible. (If anyone more familiar with this programme knows, let me know.) Do you approve? Do you like the way I've set it out? The background is a darker version of the main page background, as it was easier to read text off that; do you think the dark background would be better for the main page, incidentally? Any other thoughts?

(no subject)

Hi everyone, I have my period tomorrow and am a little worried about using my mooncup.

I've had it for a few months and was so excited the first time I tried it. I am very comfortable with my cunt and was totally relaxed as I didn't actually anticipate any pain. Boy was I wrong! Even though I followed the instructions, was gentle, used lube, and wasn't tense, inserting the cup and getting the bugger back out again was the most intensely painful thing I have ever experienced. This took me completely by surprise as I have quite a high threshold for pain and have shattered my fingers before, but this hurt more!

My only thought is that it must be because I am 24, but haven't had penetrative sex (I'm queer). I examined myself and I think my hymen is still intact, the stubborn bastard! It is very stretched out, but still there.

I don't know what to do now, I really want to use this product. Will the pain get better, should I just ride it out? Have any of you had a similar problem? Did you hurt so much when you first lost your virginity/ went to the gyno? Speaking of which I have decided to accept the inevitable and have my first smear test, but after this the word 'speculum' fills me with dread!

:le sigh:, I am not looking forward to tomorrow. Thanks for any advice.
