HAMLET PRINCE OF DENMARK

Question, re: cramps and cups

*waves* Hi, I'm new.

Has anyone else had cramping problems from the Instead cups? Up until three cycles ago I had massive cramps every time, but they've mysteriously disappeared. However, this week I tried using Instead cups for the second time, mostly because I was down to about four of the thick, wingless disposeable pads that bunch up in your underwear so that they don't leak so much as you bleed around them. The first day I had very mild cramps in the morning, but nothing worth worrying about. After I put in the cup, however, they got worse. WAAAY worse. I had soccer practice that day, and I could barely manage the drills. (I practise with the men's team at my college, but that's a different story.) When I took the cup out later, my cramps nearly disappeared, but they reappeared when I put it back in again.

As far as I can tell I'm inserting it correctly, as what I feel when I put it in matches the diagram on the box. It may be that I just can't manage internal devices at all, because I also find tampons rather uncomfortable, the two times I've used them. I've also never had an actual pelvic exam- when I went to the gynocologist in December, she couln't finish the exam because I was in too much pain. (It was my first visit. I'm 18 and a virgin, so I'd had no real reason to go before then.)

Has anyone had problems like this with the Keeper as well? One of the local drugstore chains here specializes in natural and organic health care, and they sell the Keeper and Lunapads as well as organic tampons and sponges.
