bjork play dead

Rather over excited first time user!

Hello! I know this is quite irrelevant & silly, but I had to tell someone (& my poor tmi-ed best friend hasn't texted me back yet), I managed to get my mooncup in! Today's the first day of my cycle & the first time I've used my cup. I've been looking forward to this day for weeks (how sad) & now I can safely say I was right to be excited. Bit of trouble at first & got rather frustrated, & then rather panicky when the damn thing wouldn't come out. I managed this too, trimmed the stem & now everything is hunky-dory! I've yet to remove it now I've shortened the stem, decided to wait & become safe in the knowledge that it will come out, hopefully through my own doing, but if not I suppose there's always hospital, so there's no need to worry :)

Here's to many happy tampon-free cycles!

floating mooncup

Hi!

I've been using the Mooncup for 4 days now; this is my first period. The last 3 days were great, (almost) no leakage and inserting and removing was easy (I already use the Nuvaring (www.nuvaring.com) so I'm kinda used to it) However, today I did find that it leaked, so I wanted to remove it, but I couldn't feel it anywhere. I knew I hadn't lost it, so I went a little higher, and there it was; as high as it could get. I think that's why it leaked, because the last few days my flow is always very light. How is is possible that it floated all the way up?

Oh, and I have to insert my Nuvaring tonight, will I still be able to use the Mooncup?

Keep The Faith

Hi all. It's been a while since I've posted but I wanted to give a quick update on my DivaCup. I'm about on my fifth or sixth month now and the past two months I haven't had a single leak!!! I wrote earlier about having problems leaking on the first day of my period (my first full day is my heaviest and I've had to empty the cup, at full, three or four times a day). The past two cycles I've kept my cup a little higher than I used to (it still sits low but it's high enough so that the end--not the stem, I cut mine off--is above my pelvic bone).

So I just wanted to say that if you're getting frustrated with leaks or discomfort stick with it, it'll get better! Getting a DivaCup has changed the way I look at my period, I love it!
