On ur island

(no subject)

I know you can wear menstrual cups for all the typical "tampon" activities and more, but I'm awfully curious about this scenario: you've got a cup in, and it's partially full, and you stand on your head/lie down/do something else to "tilt" the cup along with your body so that the blood obviously is going to flow back out. Where does it go? Back up your cervix, or just in the empty space between the "collecting" inner part of the cup and the rest of your vaginal tract, or what?

Hello! I just joined this group and was excited to see so many fellow Divacup/Keeper users. I have been using the Diva cup for a few months now, although I admit I haven't completely weened myself off of disposables yet.  My main problem was getting it to sit comfortably, because it kept tilting and the little stem kept poking me. I guess it was a matter of adjusting it because it doesn't seem to bother me now. I wondered- does anyone use Instead/Softcups regularly? I tried them before I bought my Diva cup and could NOT figure out how to get them in.Maybe it just takes some getting used to, but they seem rather uncomfortable to me. Anyway, that's it for now. I just wanted to introduce myself and say hi.

About a week or so ago, I posted with some concerns about suction with my divacup.  I received replies with helpful advice from so many of you within minutes of submitting my questions and I can't thank you all enough.  I took your advice and waited until I had my period and tried it out again, this time, going about getting it out differently than I was doing it before, and I have to say I couldn't be more pleased!  Could you believe it--because of this little cup and all of your immeasurable help, I was looking forward to menstruating and now I'm excited to be on my period.  Incredible.
Anyway, I just wanted to let you all know how grateful I am for your responses to my inquiries.  It helped get past both physical discomfort and the frustration I would have put myself through trying to figure this out alone for the past week.

Thank youuuu :)
