Huzzah!

I am now the proud owner of two divacups.

Of course, they arrive the day after my period stops, but at least now I've got some time to practice inserting and removing the cup before next time.

I cleaned one of them right away and tried it out, to see if I would have any difficulty getting it in. Well, it's up there and feeling pretty comfortable--of course, I'll have to get back to you on whether it's correctly situated to prevent leaking. It was funny, actually--I was somehow anticipating it to be this great, huge thing...and when I finally had it in my hand, I thought, "That's it?! My vagina will swallow this thing whole!" And so it did--shoop, right up there. I did manage to turn it some (about 3/4), but it had already opened. The stem isn't poking me, and right now I can honestly say that I don't feel it at all.

I am sure this will be the beginning of a beautiful relationship.
Whatever Happened to Baby Jane?

two things

first -- today when I mentioned to my friend that I needed to empty my keeper ASAP, she told me she has been thinking about getting herself a cup. I was so excited to hear that!! I praise my keeper all the time (even when I have those "I don't feel like putting it in right now" moments I still appreciate it) and it's exciting to know my enthusiasm is spreading a little bit... word of mouth really is powerful. I had shown her my keeper some months ago. she's one of few people who did not gasp and ask how much it hurt, just a "hmm, interesting" kind of reaction. (I like those the best!)

second -- almost a year ago, last October, I had cardiac catheterization/heart surgery done via my femural veins in my groin (it might seem obvious to say, I don't know, it's most common to enter from there) and ever since then, my period cramps have been mostly in my lower groin and spread down my legs. I don't think it's a bad thing, but I wonder if anyone else has had similar experience? this has not much to do with the keeper, but I wonder if it's normal to have menstrual cramps in one's leg veins. it sounds weird just reading it. I swear it happens every month.

the everyday turned solitary

(no subject)

Okay, so last time I got my little red friend, I had trouble locating my Divacup in my apartment... so I made sure to put in a safe place for the next time... and guess what--I can't find it. Arg! How inconvenient! I need to start looking for it 3 weeks in advance ;) then I'll never lose it! Funny thing is, I'm moving tomorrow, and I didn't see it anywhere while packing, so obviously I put its little purple leopard bag inside something else relatively small! Go figure!
