certain soaps to wash the DivaCup?

Normally I've been using a plain orange antibacterial liquid soap to wash my DivaCup, and it does the job quite fine. However, I'm staying with my boyfriend for the week, and he uses the Dr. Bronner's Peppermint Hemp Castille Soap. (It might be helpful to say that both he and I are vegans.) The other day I was showering, so I used the Dr. Bronner's to clean my cup, and it worked fine too. However, it's been two days since I used that peppermint soap, and my cup still smells minty, even though I'm still using it and washing it really well with other soap. Is this normal? I just don't want to damage my cup at all, and I don't want it smelling like peppermint forever... I was just curious what everybody else uses to wash their cups, and what they thought. Cheers.
