Buying my first cup...

Hi! I've been using Insteads for a few cycles now, and they have been almost-but-not-quite working for me. They have worked well enough for me to decide that I want a big girl cup now, so I started looking around.

To start with, I was raised in an environment that did not leave me very comfortable with my own body, especially the 'dirty' parts of it - I am trying to overcome that, but there are still some things that I'm not comfortable doing, and feeling for my cervix while menstruating is somewhere that my limits haven't quite stretched to yet. I did have a very... very... complete physical yesterday (not long after my period ended), and according to my doctor she could reach my cervix easily with one finger (she estimated about three inches) and it is 'a little low'. I'm in my early twenties, have semi-regular (but usually a little painful) sex, and have not had any children. I'm guessing from all of this that I need a smaller cup. However, my flow can be pretty heavy, as well.

Looking at the sizing charts here and a few other places, I'm pretty sure I want a small Lunette, a small MeLuna, or a small LadyCup. The Lunette is at the top of my list, and I've found where I can get one, but I'm slightly nervous about the fact that they're not supposed to be sold in the U.S. quite yet, and they're also a little pricier than the other options. Obviously the MeLuna is my best choice, as far as price goes, and I like the different styles, but the capacity isn't what I'd like and though I know it's safe, I'm not sure I want a plastic cup - seems like likely that a noob like me could ruin that than a silicone one. The LadyCup might be a happy medium, but again, it doesn't have the capacity I'd like - I work mornings in an early childhood special needs classroom, and on a heavy day while I'm very active and I can't find the time to go empty a cup and then I have to rush across town to get to a class with no time to empty in between that... it might cut it, but I don't know if that's something I should risk, you know?

So, what do you lovelies think? Would a Lunette be worth the greater cost for me? Or should I just get over my paranoia and start with one of the others? Any other month I'd just buy both, but since I haven't finished my Christmas shopping I'm limiting myself... and I really want to get it before my next period, so that I can test drive it over Christmas break before I try to wear it through a typical insane day. Convert me, please.
