Size & childbirth.

Okay, so I've done a lot of preliminary reading, looking at the sizing, capacity, length & whatnot, and the general consensus is that if you've had kids you get the bigger size. My concern is that the larger sizes might be too large [I've only had one kid, am still fairly young and could be considered of the 'petite' variety].

I'm just wondering if anyone who has had kids has gone with the larger sizes and found that they are uncomfortable/ have eventually switched to a smaller size. I also know that some women might find that the larger sizes don't accommodate [not big enough] in this situation. I don't want to spend money on something and then find out it's not what I need.
