Camping etiquette question

Apologies if this was asked already (I couldn't find it in the camping tag), but I have a question about using a cup while backpacking in the wilderness. What exactly do you do with the blood? I was thinking about digging holes in the dirt and burying the blood in those, but was worried it could attract bears (we'll be in grizzly bear country). Does anyone know, or have any other ideas???
