First insertion of the cycle with different cups

So I use a small lady cup, and my first time inserting it every cycle is difficult and somewhat painful. The cup refuses to pop, and stays folded and squished inside of me. After taking it out and putting it in a few times, I always manage to make it pop eeventually. But not after feeling as though I've raped myself.
My question is, is this experience the same for all cups? do people with the lunette, diva, femme, mia, or mooncups have this problem as well? I am in love with my pink cup because when it's in me I can't feel it, but I'm wondering if people have more success with the original insertion with other cups.
Oh and fine...it's true: I'm obsessed with cups I think, and just want to buy another one anyway!! lol
