What's the longest you will happily leave yours in for?

Hi all

This is my first post other than introduction so I apologise if I put it in the wrong place or anything...I don't even normally join online communities etc.

I am thoroughly enjoying my first cycle with my Mooncup and will shortly be espousing it's brilliance to all my female friends.

I have a very light period really, and have no real reason to empty it (could probably leave it in for my whole period without it overflowing but I obviously wouldn't do that) regularly. So far I have been emptying it 3 times a day just like I did with tampons (8 hours a pop) but this is just out of habit and because that's what the manufacturer says...
From reading other comments, people seem to say different lengths of time they are happy to leave theirs in for so I was hoping for some advice on this and just to curb my curiosity on the subject.
