I ordered the Instead Cups a few weeks ago to help me TTC. About a week ago, just after ovulation, I decided to try it out because I wanted to know how to get it in and out when I was ovulating without spilling any of  his "stuff." Yes, we plan to let him "relieve himself" in it before I insert it rather than insert it after intercourse. I've read that's the better thing to do! Anyway, I couldn't get it in, and it felt painful, but I wasn't giving up on it yet, however, I pulled it back out.

My husband and I have been trying to conceive our first since Jan 08! We're about 3/4 of the way through our 11th cycle and we know DH has a low sperm count. I have a bladder illness called Interstitial Cystitis (IC) and something along with it called Pelvic Floor Dysfunction. I was almost terrified to try again because I didnt want to cause anymore inflammation than I already have, and I live in chronic pain because of the inflammation of my bladder. Basically it sucks, and makes TTC hard because of interourse. (It can cause pain.)

I decided to try again earlier tonight. I'm 9 days past ovulation and usually go about 13 days before my period shows. I got it in on the 2nd try with no problem AND NO pain. I also got it out just as easily! I may actually try it for my period as well. I haven't been able to wear anything but pads for three years! It would be amazing to move onto something like this not only to TTC but also for AF! Whoo hoo for the Instead cup!
