I was really hoping to try a dry run just to get used to the experience (even if it is really different - at least I won't be as tense.) But as luck would have it - I only have silicone based lube.
So, the thought struck me - why is it so bad for the cup? Mixing Australians with other Australians, gasoline with more gasoline, or green beans with green beans isn't going to hurt anything. Why is it that way with silicone lube and cups?
ETA: Thanks guys!! You reasonably explained the mystery! And now to replace the lube so as to not hurt other things...*cough*.
