First Time Use with Lunette

I just got my Lunette this week and didn't even get the opporunity to have a dry run.  I received it after I had started my period.  My heaviest day was already over, so I don't even know how my Lunette will hold up during my heaviest days.

I immediately opened the package and boiled the Lunette to sterilize it.  As soon as it was cooled off enough I went in to my bathroom and inserted it.  It took me several tries to get it in just the right position, but once I got it in I was thrilled.

However, I found out immediately that I needed to go back in and take it out to cut off the stem.  It was poking me too much!  <OUCH>  Once I cut it off I was much happier.  I have been happy since.

I was able to do my workout with it in right after I got it with no problems.  I have worn it for 3 days and even overnight since getting it and I have not had any problems with it.  I love it.

I got one for myself and one for my daughter too.  I am almost 40 years old.  I have had 3 children - 2 by vaginal birth and 1 by emergency C-Section.  I have a tilted cervix and thought that it would cause problems using a cup, but it has not presented any problems.

My daughter is 15 1/2 and has been having her period now for about a year.  She is still a virgin, too.  She is a very heavy bleeder, and can easily use about 100 to 150 tampons each month.  We are hoping that by using a cup she will be much happier not having to rush to the bathroom every hour to change to prevent leaking.

We purchased some flushable hygenic wipes to carry in our purses for use in public restrooms.  Other than that, does anyone have any other suggestions and advice for us?
