iherb.com warning- buyer beware

While I hadn't chosen the diva for myself, when i said I was ordering a cup one of my best friends said she wanted to try one but her birthday was coming up, so I pointed her here, said pick one and I'll order it. She picked the dive after her research. (I'm getting myself a ladycup)

I'd seen so many people order from Iherb.com so I placed an order.. and it didn't come.
So I'd like to warn you guys about them. I found their customer service very rude.

Here's my discussion with customer service with them:

The selection i made was USPS, and under their site they had listed: Takes 3-10 days, very reliable


At 10 days here I signed into their customer service and asked where it was they told me:

however your order shipped out 10/05/08
however can take up to 7 to 10 days to deliver at the latest. It's been 9 days.


Okay. I can buy that. So I waited til today the 17th and signed in again. they told me:

to Japan it can take up to 2 to 3 weeks what is your order number

We continue on, I confirm my order number & address.

have you checked with neighbors, family members? to see if they remember seeing it?

I explain I live alone, in an apartment complex behind locked doors. There'd be nowhere to leave the package. (I live in downtown tokyo)

we do apologize for that, perhaps next time you may want to use a more reliable and traceable delivery service such as dhl, yamato, or UPS, international usualy take 2 to 5 days with a tracking number,

At which point I have a problem. The other three shipping methods would have been $35+! Absolutely no way no how!!! Not to mention the fact that their website says "VERY RELIABLE"

So I asked about this and they tell me. "We appologize" five times. Then say this:

our order shipped out on 10/06/08 if you need more information please call 1-866-328-1171 when we open, right now it is 7:05am our phone lines open at 8:00am i have given you all of the information you need, if you do not receive the order by 10/27 please let us know, Thank you

So I ask. Wait. You told me that it shipped out on 10/05 just a minute ago!? What's going on with that? --- at this point I'm sick of being told different things left and right.

So I get this lovely reply:

that is on Sunday we all know the post office does not work on Sundays however your order was boxed and placed at our docks on that day, the post office picked up on Monday

Chat session has been terminated by the site operator.




So basically after they gave me different information 2-3 times for different things and I asked them to clarify I got a "we all know ----" and the chat session terminated. I wouldn't pay money to this site ever again. And recommend anyone who's thinking about doing it, to not.
