First Time User Needs Help

I am on my cycle and am trying to use my Diva Cup.  I've searched the forums and instruction guide for answers, but I think I am getting more confused in the process.

1) The instructions say it should sit low, with the stem ending at the vaginal opening.  However it seems many people have it suctioned right over their cervix.  How can it be in so far, but still have the stem relatively low?  The instructions say this is not a tampon and shouldn't be inserted too far.

2) How do I know if I have a suction?  I've read multiple posts of how strong the suction is, but I don't experience that at all.  I believe mine does pop open, but I don't know about the suction part.  Does it make a noise, or is this something I feel?  I've tried running my finger around the base of the cup, but I do feel dent right around where my pubic bone is.  Does this mean it's not as far in as it should be?

3) The cup is not uncomfortable at all, and I don't even feel the stem, but I am experiencing some leaking, so I know I don't have it 100% right.  It is collecting blood, but it's like 85-90%, not all of it.  I'm really trying to get an idea of far to put this thing in.  <Graphic>  For those of you who are successful with it, how far deep do your fingers go to get the cup out (whole finger, up to the knuckle?)
