I was toying with the idea of getting a cup for a while now because it would be really nice to be able to wear it while I'm working. I have to be very active at work and cloth pads seems to shift a lot in scrubs.

I ordered a Diva cup from southcoast shipping on Friday and it came on Monday! Just in time because I should start bleeding tomorrow. Of course I did a dry run and of course I've had some issues. I had it in yesterday for 3.5 hours and had to take it out because I had a sore spot from the rim. 4.5 hours later I put it back in and that time the stem was bothering me but I left it in because it wasn't pain, just uncomfortable. I think it shifted into the right spot. When I went to take it out it was pretty up there and I had a fun time getting it back out.

I got the size 1 because even though I have had a child I know my body and I thought the 2 would be too big. I can't say anything about leaking issues because I haven't actually started bleeding yet but I'm going to test it out during this cycle.

So the question, is the amount of discomfort I had normal? The rim pain got worse but the stem pain went away and I could feel it the whole time. I'm afraid to get a shorter cup because it got itself way up there and I had to tug a little to get the grip before I could break suction.

ETA: Thanks for all of the comments. I started flowing more after this post and it gets more comfortable the more I put it in. After 6 hours I had a bit of pain from the stem then a half hour later it stopped. I think my body keeps readjusting it :)
