Keeper is huge

Hey, my sister bought me a keeper and we both decided to try them out. Well, today I started so I tried to put it in this morning and it doesn't seem to fit. I've read that it can be difficult to use at first, but I seriously think it's just to big for the vaginal opening on me. I tried the C-fold but I don't know what else to do. I was really looking forward to using it because tampons always leak when I use them. So, problem 1. It seems too big.
problem 2. I was able to get it slightly in right at the entrance and then it would unfold when I lost my grip suddenly and then the suction on it hurt really bad because it was so strong. Is the suction just something I have to get used to? because it was all I could do not to scream when that happened and avoid waking my brothers up. What are some other ways to fold it? And what do I have to just get used to? Or should I buy a smaller type of menstrual cup instead of using the keeper?
