Cup use without being able to find cervix?

As this is my first post here, please point out if I did anything wrong and I'll fix it!

Now to my question: I plan to order a Lunette during the next few days. In order to check if I'm able to use it, I inserted one finger (and afterwards two and three to check if I will be able to get the cup past my hymen) into my vagina and tried to find my cervix. But somehow I couldn't find it!
I tried to find it several times but I didn't feel anything with the faintest resemblance of a cervix.
Is my finger perhaps too short for my vagina? And will that be an obstacle for using a cup? I'd really like to use menstrual cups, but I'm afraid I won't be able to get it out if it suctions to my cervix and my fingers are too short to reach it...
