Why do you choose to use a cup?

Hi everyone! I've been a Diva Cup user for about a year and a half now, and I gotta say it's the greatest invention since sliced bread. I don't think I'll ever go back to disposable methods.
Right now I'm doing a school project on alternative feminine hygiene methods and practices, and I'm curious to get some feedback from other cup users. There are lots of good reasons to use menstrual cups discussed on this site, but what I want to know is what are the top 3 or 4 reasons YOU choose to use a cup? Also, how did you hear about menstrual cups, and when did you make the decision that it was the right method for you?
