Is this normal?

So this is my first cycle using the Diva cup. I'm still trying to figure out if it really works for me or not. I've already trimmed it down so it is at least comfortable, and it took me a bit to master getting it in (the 7 fold is the only one that I can get to work -- origami was actually excruciatingly painful for some reason), and it still leaks sometimes, so I'm hoping I can get the hang of it soon. (I also am hoping to figure out how to remove it without quite so much discomfort. The main reason I don't use tampons is due to the discomfort in removal. This is better, but not perfect.)

But I have found that while wearing it, particularly shortly after inserting it, but even much later, I have the urge to pee, even when I don't need to. Is this a normal "side effect" or is it just me?
