Anyway, I took it out this morning after wearing it for 24 hours straight - which I didn't realize until I read it here you're not supposed to do. So I was just wondering about cleaning options? I'm done with it for the month, but I think I'm going to go out and get some hydrogen peroxide tomorrow. I'm currently house sitting at my mom's (I don't live here) and *ahem* I may have raided her bathroom for supplies. The best I could come up with, though, was rubbing alcohol and listerine. Has anybody tried cleaning their cup with listerine? I tried the alcohol first and didn't like how it smelled. Listerine wasn't fantastic either, but it was better. I just couldn't find anything saying whether or not that's a good idea.
Also, the reason I got it in the first place was because I'm going to be working all summer out in the bush - i.e. no toilet or running water. If hydrogen peroxide works outs, I was just wondering if it would be okay to bring it already diluted in a small container, so that I could just put it in there and dump it after it's soaked for a night. I'm pretty sure I'll be working predominantly with males, and I doubt they'd appreciate seeing me preparing and using my menstrual cup cleaner.
I'd appreciate any thoughts on this. And thank you!
