slowly being converted

Hi All -
I have been considering trying a cup for a couple years, and my roomie told me about this community so I have been reading for a few weeks now. I also back read several months and have read through a lot of the memories and am feeling a little overwhelmed with choices.
Over the last few years, my flow has gotten very heavy and more viscous. I have always had trouble with a lot of cramps and used to get sent home for them in high school and still miss a day of work here and there. I have been having crazy trouble with leakage around and/or over disposable products (I also think tampons aggravate my cramps) so I am getting much more to the point of wanting to try a cup, but I still have some reservations.
I will be 33 on Monday, have never had kids, and have a slightly backwards tilted uterus. I am 5'10 with a proportionate frame but have to have the small speculum for exams. I also would prefer not to use latex, as I think my grrl parts are sensitive to it. I am afraid to aggravate my cramps and am SO tired of dealing with leakage. I live in the US, but have no problem ordering international if that is the way to get the best cup.
I am sorry to be so all over, but I was hoping you wonderful, supportive ladies might be able to help. I know every woman is different in her size/brand/softness choice but I don't know which one to start with. I don't want to have to keep buying cups and having terribly, bloody, frustrating experiences at a time when I am already emotionally unstable.
From what I have read, it seems like the larger Mooncup UK would be a good place to start: softer material, shorter bell, good capacity. Where is the best place to order one?
Also, I was curious how ladies deal with emptying your cup in stall bathrooms. I will probably need to do it while at work because of heavy flow days 1 and 2, and am having these visions of trying to pull up my pants and open the door with bloody fingers while trying to get to the sink! Not to mention if someone walked in!
Thanks so much for your patience and help!
