Another question

So for my dry run yesterday I left it in while I went to church. The stem was a little pokey, but I want to wait until my period to decide if it needs to be trimmed. Otherwise it was completely comfortable and fairly easy to remove.

The problem/surprise:
I am not a virgin, and haven't been for a while. My period is not due to start for a week, and I am on Nuvaring, so I know for sure it is not supposed to start yet. When I removed the cup it had about an 1/8th of an inch of watery blood in it. Did it suck blood from my uterus? I have had things larger than my keeper moon cup in my vagina, so I doubt it is hymen related. I am scared to try it again. What is happening?
