rotating it to get a suction

hi everybody. i just started my first cycle with a menstrual DivaCup just came in the mail and i'm pretty excited about trying something besides tampons.

this is my first day using i dont want to complain about anything yet since obviously it takes your body a while to get used to new things. but everyone said cups help reduce cramps and i'm not feeling that at all....but again, its only the first day. also, i feel like the cup is putting pressure on my cervix, but i don't know if its just cramps and i'm freaking out about nothing or what. i don't know how far down my cervix is also.

ok...heres my question though.....

i don't really have a problem putting it in, but i'm confused about how i'm supposed to "rotate" it or "twist" it to get a suction? I'm having a hard time trying to figure out how to do this properly. do i just have to stick my entire hand "up there" to get a good grip or what? i can pinch the very bottom of it and twist it like a tiny bit, but definitely not all the way around without having to let go and readjust my grip. if someone could guide me through this i would be very appreciative! thanks, and i have to say, this is the greatest community ever! i've found so much info on this site!
