clotting... how much is too much?

This is my first post here and my first cycle using the Mooncup US. ( I also splurged for a Lunette a few days later when I had decided cupping would be the only way to live!) For the past few weeks, I have immersed myself in this site and trying to grab as much information so I felt ready to take the plunge when my menses arrives. I gotta hand it to you gals, this is a really helpful and informative site! I don't want to bore you with the details of my beginnings; they sound much like the gals here that are just learning, so I'll just get to the point.

I started the night before last, so I got to experience the cup the first night and all day yesterday and last night. I have inserted and removed it successfully 3 times now and this morning when I removed it... I don't want to gross anyone out, but there was clotting that I suppose I have been doing all along and in my almost 20 years of my period, I had not realized that clotting actually looked like that. So... I think I'm just wanting a little conformation that when clotting, it isn't just red, but can be white also. Again, this is my first time cupping. Previously I used tampons and hadn't quite seen to the degree that I saw my own clotting this morning. I showed my bf and I think he got a little queasy but said that's probably waht I've been doing all along and not to worry. While that's probably true, do any of you have any input on clotting that may put me at ease?

P.S. I cannot thank you enough for holding such a great space to empower woman and gather 'round to share and be there for one another. I had no idea how much I was going to fall for my cup until I placed the order online but kept searching online for more info! Then I found you and seems I'm not the only one... I too only wish I had learned about this when I was younger.

Thank you all.
