I bought a fleurcup (large) in late October 2012. I read some people online said that fleurcup is firmer than is sckoon cup. But fleurcup is sooooo soft, i can't get it to pop open when it's in me! I tried running it in cold water, spinning, pressing with finger to let air in. Is sckoon cup softer or is fleurcup? I need a cup that is soft enough to catch clots but firm enough to open. Also, I need high capacity. I've bought 3 cups already, and i haven't found my goldilocks cup yet. Lunette size 1 is best in terms of shape and squishyness, but it doesn't hold enough and the size 2 is wayyyyy too hard. Any suggestions for me?

I had the same problem with the Lunette 2 stiffness!

Something to keep in mind, cup shape could also be a factor in comfort and ease of opening.

I think the Cuplee is tied with Si-Bell for most flexible. The Cuplee was just a tad too long for me, but it's a great cup for capacity and it opened well.

My Sckoon has been consistent for comfort, capacity (no leaks!) and the right length. In addition to cold water, a trick for opening the Sckoon is to make sure one of the air holes is in the fold. And it's more comfortable for me than the Fleur.

thanks for responding. :D

Which is softer: fleur or sckoon?

The flexibility is close to the same, but because of the construction of the cup (shape of the body and rim, thickness of the walls) I prefer the softness of the Sckoon, particularly the way it sits internally.

I don't have a Sckooncup, but from all accounts the LARGE Sckoon should be the softest, while the SMALL Fleurcup (and probably the small Sckoon) are somewhat firmer/thicker and closer to a SMALL Lunette.

Oh no I hope it didn't change!!! I bought my first two in March 2011, and just ordered some spares.

Did you use the coupon code, and if so, can you explain where and how to enter it? thank you!

I used 2014 as a code -- there's a place for codes at checkout. It only took it off one cup, but that's ok, I was grateful for the discount!!!

I don't have the Sckoon so can't compare. I bought around the same time as you so wanted to let you know that the half-diamond works great for me, punchdown never did. Also just standing up, you might feel it pop open by itself. It is a no-fail cup for me, I sure hope it hasn't changed! :)

Which folds have you tried? My Fleurcup never fails to open with the labia fold.

I always use 7 fold with fleurcup. I used to use punchdown fold like i did with lunette, but punchdown is harder to open. I heard 7 fold is one of the easiest folds to open.

Well, since these folds don't work for you, I'd try some others. That's my suggestion.

Personally I find that the labia fold works great with the large Fleurcup. I've never tried the seven fold.

I second the labia fold, facing down, or the half diamond, also facing down. The punchdown would never work for me. The good thing about these folds, and about the trinagle to some extent, is that you can help them open by poking and prodding them. That's sort of what you have to do with most soft cups, they don't tend to magically slap your bits open, but that doesn't take more than a few seconds once you got your method down. I like my Cuplee very much too, but it IS one of the softest cups, regadless half diamond works great with it.

I have both and find the fleurcup MUCH easier to open. The bodies of the cups are similar in softness, but the sckoon rim is both softer and thicker. I have to say that both do open for me but the fleur is foolproof and the sckoon requires coaxing and wiggling.

I bought a Fleur in ~February 2012 and also have a Sckoon. Personally, I feel like the Sckoon is softer.

I have owned both the Sckoon was softer but neither worked for me.

I have a Si-Bell (one of the softest out there but similar in shape to the fleur) and the labia fold is foolproof for me. :)
