I was on the website and I noticed that they had restocked the old shape soft medium MeLuna. I then noticed that amended to one of my reviews with a note from the MeLuna Team saying the old shape is still available and is now being called Mini.

(MeLuna-Team: The old shape (the name is MELUNA-MINI) is available in the webshop www.meluna.eu.) (Posted on 16/02/2012)

I saw that it said Mini on the German site a while back, but it now says Mini in English where it used to say (old shape). I'm sure some of you know what I'm talking about.

Anywho I ordered one for the future just in case, but I wonder if this is a permanent change? I sure hope so!

Interesting! I actually didn't know about this, but I will say that the samples of the old style small I have do seem smaller overall, than the newer smalls. Who knows, it might be a good idea, because there are some people with a really light flow, and a really low cervix, who could maybe use such a cup. I hope they are keeping them, its yet another option. :)

Yeah the old small is perfect for me. The new small is too long/big, even though I guess the diameter is technically smaller. It's a lot wider at the bottom and I think that's what matters for me. I have a low cervix and light flow so it works for me. It's odd how the new small is longer than the old medium.

It is hard to tell from a business stand point how many models is too many models though, as far as inventory goes.

As a reseller I can't stock them all. They are also releasing a 25% firmer cup as well so there will be soft, classic and 25% firmer.

it's supposed to have an exactly same length as the old medium.

It's not though, despite what MeLuna's charts say. I've had them both in person. It's like the pictures femininewear and sunnyhappyday have posted. I wish I had taken measurements before I gave it away, so the chart could be updated.

yeah i have both too and imo the difference is neglibible. as for the second post, as i said i think the OP just cut off the stem really flat, it's barely longer than the small (mini), probably some 42-43 mm long. i've got the medium inside so i can't compare right now haha.

Personally for me it's a significant difference (even if it's just a couple of mm), more so when you factor in the rounded bottom, *but* it might only be that way for me because the small (mini) is my current perfect size.

well, for me the difference is more about diameter, shape and rim than about the length. if your perfect one is the mini, perhaps the shape makes a difference for you too? not only the rounded bottom but the relatively narrow middle.

Shape definitely plays a role, my body doesn't crush the cone shape and it sits comfortably. I'm sensitive down around the bottom too and the cone shape doesn't irritate. The new small barely sits inside.

well i've compared and at least the way i cut off the stems they have the same length.
have to giggle at "barely sits inside"...any cup will stick out of me at least in some positions. i can wear the medium only inside out. the small is the only one i wear right side out, as its rim presses on my rectum while inside out.

Well to each his/her own. I don't like the sticking out feeling. It makes me feel like I have a lot of plastic in my vagina and it doesn't leave any space for me to reposition with my finger without cause a lot of pain so I prefer the small mini. I don't currently use the medium. I'm saving that for if I have kids way later. I know the cone shape is still the best for my body and it can handle my athletic lifestyle. I know a lot of people don't like the small mini but I love it.

Yay this is very good news!

Well, I think they could definitely take over a niche market for ultra small cups. It might only be profitable if one or two companies do it, though.

I will definitely look into stocking it as I do find that it was valued by a lot of folk. Glad I found notification here as I didnt get from the company.
