Ingredients- water, saponified organic coconut and organic olive oils (w/retained glycerin), organic hemp oil, organic jojoba oil, natural rose fragrance, citric acid, vitamin E. Is there any reason why I couldn't use this on my cup? When you clean with soap do you just add the soap to water and let it soak, or rub the soap directly on the cup? I've been soaking my diva cup in diluted hydrogen peroxide which has been working, but I don't really want to tempt fate anymore.

The oils in the castile soap will cause the silicone to degrade somewhat faster overtime than a non-castile soap would.

This! What's the problem with using a regular soap, OP?

We don't have any "regular" soap in my house. All the hand soap is anti-bacterial and all the other body wash-type soaps are super artificially fragrant and generally filled with stuff I don't want near my vag. I could get normal soap, but if it would save me a trip to the store...

Fair enough :) If I were you I would dilute the dr bronners 1:2 with water, just to extend the use, and make sure it's rinsed very very well.

I get the impression that TONS of people around here use Dr. Bronners, which is a castile soap, so I imagine it would be fine.

In case you decide against castile, here's a tip that may reduce your store trip frequency. :-)

I clean mine with a plain bar of Ivory, which I keep in a plastic cottage cheese tub on the side of the sink. It doesn't get used for day-to-day washing hands, which makes it last longer (and keeps it from getting grimy).

I sometimes use castile soap and sometimes use Method hand soap. Both have worked fine for me (and have been doing using a cup (and cleaning it this way) for almost three years). Every once in awhile (about every 3 months or so), I will boil my cup as well.
